The Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC) is a large, privately owned, Australian cattle company which operates 18 cattle stations covering over 57,000 km2, managing more than 350,000 cattle, in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland. It produces beef cattle for the South East Asian live export and grass-fed Japanese Ox markets.[1]
CPC was formed in 1983 with the purchase of various holdings in the Northern Territory, including Newcastle Waters Station, from Ashburton Pastoral Company. In April 2009 a majority share in CPC was acquired by private equity firm Terra Firma.[1]
